Thank you for this thoughtful piece. Amazing how you approached cancer risk reduction from a broad, integrative perspective, bringing together lifestyle, metabolic health, and environmental factors rather than focusing on a single intervention.

What I particularly appreciate would be the emphasis on upstream factors like nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and metabolic regulation as foundational levers. These are areas where the evidence base is relatively strong, particularly in relation to insulin signaling, chronic inflammation, and overall resilience. One aspect that might further strengthen the piece would be to more clearly distinguish between interventions with robust human data versus those that are more hypothesis-generating or based on emerging/preclinical evidence. This might help patients prioritize where to focus their efforts.

Such a valuable and empowering read.

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. Even doing “everything right” doesn’t make anyone immune.

Environmental exposures can play a role, but cancer is rarely one single cause. It’s a mix of genetics, hormones, immune function, and timing.

This work is about shifting risk and resilience, not guaranteeing outcomes.

That is a lot of supplements? Even if test show you are not depleted in these minerals?

Great question!! And very important clarification. This is not meant to be taken all at once, but as a menu to choose from based on labs, context, and goals. Most patients end up on a short (1-3 supplements at a time), targeted list rather than everything here.
